PERIL AT THE PUMP WILL CONTINUE
SARASOTA, Fla. (Wireless Flash) -- Your problems paying at the pump aren't over.
Chris Markowski hosts the nationally syndicated radio show "The Watchdog on Wall Street," and he says people will continue to feel the pain at the pump well into the summer.
He explains, "The high prices aren't causing any real pain yet. People are more concerned about who's left on "American Idol." Let oil jump to $200 a barrel, then Americans will wake up."
Markowski blames skyrocketing gas prices on America's lack of leadership on energy policy, and he isn't holding out for the current White House hopefuls to ease the pump problems.
He cites the gas tax holiday supported by Hillary Clinton and John McCain, and Barack Obama's plan to enact a "Windfall Profits Tax" on oil companies as empty campaign promises.
He says, "A gas tax holiday doesn't increase the oil supply. And Obama's living in a bizarro world where he thinks he can defy economic gravity."
